LACO is turning 40, and to celebrate, we’re bringing new listeners to the concert hall to share the music you love. For the Marriner Gala and each Orchestral Series and Family Concert performance this season, we will provide a deserving community group with 40 free tickets and transportation to the concert.

Based on the suggestions given by LACO patrons last spring, we have partnered with a broad group of organizations that are delighted to have the opportunity to visit a concert hall and hear our world-class Orchestra at no cost. Most of the 40 for 40 participants will be first-time concert-goers. Many will be children whose eyes will light up in discovery when they first encounter violins, trumpets and bassoons. Some will be youth desperately in need of positive role models or seniors who crave stimulating opportunities for expression. Others will be adults who have not been so fortunate to live the kind of life that allows for inspiration in addition to survival.

Donations in the following amounts will help LACO connect with the community through 40 for 40:

$40 – Sponsor two Family Concert attendees.
$80 – Supply a ticket for one Orchestral Series concert-goer.
$200 – Support pre-concert enrichment activities for 40 for 40.
$400 – Provide bus transportation for one community group to and from the concert hall.
$800 – Invest in a musical experience for 10 Orchestral Series or 40 Family Concert attendees.
