2009-10 season

Join us for our 2009-10 season! Infusing time-honored classics with a fresh American perspective, music director Jeffrey Kahane has designed concerts to inspire you. Enjoy masterworks ranging from Bach, Mozart and Beethoven to a bluegrass-inflected mandolin concerto by the young Chris Thile. You’ll be welcomed into the collegial warmth of the LACO experience, get to know some of the best new talent our country has to offer and be energized by the “sheer vitality” (LA Weekly) that flows between the musicians and the audience at our concerts.

“Ideal, definitive, perfect: These are words one should never use in a music review. So let ‘fully realized’ describe Jeffrey Kahane’s performance…as he led the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra from the keyboard…There were throat-catching moments…touching beauty…innocent joy…the orchestra’s collaboration was, well, perfect.” (Los Angeles Times)
