Tamara Hatwan

Tamara Hatwan, originally from Chicago, received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Northwestern University in 1987 and a Master of Music Degree from the University of Southern California in 1989. She is currently a member of the first violin sections of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. She was the assistant concertmaster of the Long Beach Symphony from 1989-2000, and has been a member of the Pacific Symphony and the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra.
Ms. Hatwan has participated in many chamber music series and music festivals, including Camerata Pacifica, the San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival, the Tanglewood Music Festival, the Spoleto Music Festival, the Music Academy of the West, and the New York String Orchestra Seminar. Ms. Hatwan was also the concertmaster of the All-American College Orchestra and the Chicago Civic Orchestra.
She has performed on the soundtracks of over five hundred motion pictures. She met her husband Mark, a production director at KUSC Radio, at a LACO rehearsal. They reside in Studio City with their three boys: Jackson, Adam, Cooper.
