Linda Tomko

Historian, dancer and choreographer in period styles, Linda Tomko worked for many years with Baroque dance specialist Wendy Hilton. In 1989, she founded Les Menus Plaisirs, a Baroque dance troupe. Its members have performed early 18th-century dances as well as new choreographies in period style in the United States, Canada and Japan.
Tomko earned a doctorate in history from UCLA. She is associate professor in the Department of Dance at the University of California, Riverside, and editor of the Dance & Music book series for Pendragon Press.
