greetings from another new LACO staff member

Hi everyone! I’m Laura Seiden, the new Marketing and Patron Services Associate. As a native Angeleno, I grew up attending LACO concerts and looking out the car window at the LACO mural on the 110 Freeway. Now, I’m thrilled to be part of the LACO family.

Here’s a little bit about me: Ever since childhood, I have always loved music and the arts. I made my stage debut at three-years-old in the critically acclaimed tap number, “I am a Groovy Chicken.” After performing in several ballet recitals in the roles of “elf,” “soldier” and “cello” (seriously), I decided to try another artistic outlet. Singing captured my heart, and still remains one of my favorite activities.

A little more: I just graduated with my M.A. in Strategic Public Relations from USC’s Annenberg School for Communication. Before that, I earned my B.A. in English from UC Berkeley.

In my free time, I enjoy attending live concerts, theater and stand-up comedy shows; listening to all types of music; singing; dancing; reading; writing and watching movies.

I’m excited to be here and I look forward to applying my passion for performing arts and my love of writing to the promotion of LACO.

Welcome aboard. Do you have any pictures of your performance as a cello? :)

Your picture is gorgeous (an accurate representation) and your writing style is wonderful. You always make me laugh.

Good work.
