dinner at cafe demel

Joyce and Mal Fienberg hosted a welcome dinner for the tour patrons in a private room at Cafe Demel, which is known as “Vienna’s most refined retreat for cake lovers.” Several of the patrons had made their own travel arrangements to Vienna, so this dinner gave everyone a chance to reconnect and bond over travel stories. Uri and Jan Caine and Gail Eichenthal also attended this dinner, and between the last course and the dessert plate, Uri talked about his piece Mosaics, which the patrons will hear tomorrow night at the Vienna Konzerthaus.

After dessert, Andrea Laguni called and announced that the concert in Hamburg had just ended and that the audience had requested two encores!
