bach's birthday and birthday celebration

Baroque lovers gathered and celebrated Bach’s birthday weekend. LACO’s concert celebrated the incredible variety of this revered composer’s repertoire. Making her Los Angeles debut, the sensational Sasha Cooke interpreted the dark intensity and touching beauty of the rarely performed Cantata and famous Aria, and the Orchestra reveled in the festive brilliance of Suite No. 3. Jeffrey Kahane conducted the opening Concerto from the piano and brought his masterful touch to the Suite’s beloved Air on the G String.

After the concert, all ticket holders were invited to celebrate Bach’s birthday with a yummy treat by GG’s Gourmet Toffee, delicious coffee drinks by Illy and to top it off, a refreshing glass of Hollywood Blonde beer!
