how matching gifts work
Corporate matching gift programs give you the opportunity to help direct your company’s philanthropic dollars toward the organization of your choice.
Your company receives a tax deduction for each match, but you get the donor credit.
For many companies, the minimum gift matched is $25. Employees are usually entitled to several matches per year, up to several hundred dollars or more.
Does your spouse also work for a company with a matching gift program? If so, your donation may be eligible for an additional corporate match!
Already donated? No problem. Most companies will match your charitable gifts for up to 12 months after you’ve given.

Please take a few moments to follow these 3 easy steps, and watch your investment grow.
- Locate your company’s name on the list below. (If your company is not listed here, check with your Human Resources Department.)
- Obtain a matching gift form from your Human Resources office, or check your company’s website for downloadable forms. The LACO staff may also be able to obtain your company’s matching gifts policy and forms.
- We’ll do the rest! Send the completed form with your gift to:
