The season-opening concert spotlights the Orchestra’s acclaimed wind soloists, most of whom have been with LACO for more than 20 years! The evening celebrates LACO’s 40th anniversary with a festive tribute from the astonishingly versatile Richard Todd.

I do not know where that will lead me, either as a classicist, jazz artist, composer, or arranger, but it all seems very exciting. Being a member of LACO for the last 27 years has been an amazing part of my musical life. I am excited to be composing my first orchestral work for the 40th season…Be prepared – it will be an adventure!”

Concert preludes are fun, informative and free to all ticket holders.
Join us one hour before each concert in the theatre. Some Preludes will feature LIVE performances of short chamber works. All will provide interesting insights into the music and the artists.
