The German composer Mendelssohn, whose vibrant symphony was inspired his by own travels, reveals his 19th-century impressions of Rome and Naples. LACO concertmaster Margaret Batjer leads our wonderful musical journey from the first chair.

Concert Preludes are fun, informative and free to all ticket holders.
Join us one hour before the concert in the theatre when LACO executive director Andrea Laguni moderates a conversation with LACO musicians. Patricia Mabee performs selections from Scarlatti’s Sonatas, and she joins Kenneth Munday, Giovanna Clayton and David Shostac to perform Vivaldi’s Trio Sonata in E minor.

The duration of the concert is approximately 1 hour, 35 minutes, including a 20 minute intermission.
