What was Beethoven thinking when he incorporated this familiar rhythm into his Seventh Symphony? Find out when Carl St.Clair serves as a musical tour guide, exploring the inspirations and influences behind Beethoven’s composition of the Seventh Symphony. St.Clair and members of the Orchestra illustrate this exploration by performing excerpts from the Symphony. This lively discourse is followed by a full performance of Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony and an opportunity for Q&A between St.Clair, the musicians and the audience. Following the concert, audience members are invited to enjoy a glass of champagne with LACO musicians, board and staff. Be there to experience this much-loved work like never before!

“Under music director Carl St.Clair…the orchestra has grown notably in musical achievement and resourcefulness….Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 […] received a full-throated, emotionally cohesive and highly detailed reading under St.Clair’s exigent leadership.” (Los Angeles Times)
