Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra: making great music personal

celebration

  • Martin Concerto for Seven Wind Instruments, Percussion and Strings
  • Mozart Horn Concerto No. 4 in E-flat major
  • Todd ceLebrACiOn (LACO commission – world premiere)
  • Mozart Symphony No. 39 in E-flat major

Revel in sound as rich as LACO’s past and as exciting as its future. The season-opening concert spotlights the Orchestra’s acclaimed wind soloists, most of whom have been with LACO for more than 20 years! The evening celebrates LACO’s 40th anniversary with a festive tribute from the exceptionally gifted Richard Todd. An exciting composer and principal horn with LACO since 1982, he is considered a true master in both the jazz and classical worlds.

“…I feel as if I am only now really discovering my voice as an artist. I do not know where that will lead me, either as a classicist, jazz artist, composer, or arranger, but it all seems very exciting. Being a member of LACO for the last 27 years has been an amazing part of my musical life. I am excited to be composing my first orchestral work for their 40th season… be prepared-it will be an adventure!”
