Toast 40 years of superb artistry in a joyful concert gala led by Sir Neville Marriner, the Orchestra’s legendary first music director and the world’s most prolific classical recording artist. Jeffrey Kahane marks this historic occasion as soloist in the Beethoven, playing under Sir Neville’s direction for the very first time. Filled with dazzling displays of orchestral virtuosity, the program celebrates the very essence of our Chamber Orchestra—40 soloists who delight in performing the classical repertoire together.
“Kahane’s extraordinary pianistic achievement, displayed extravagantly when he played all five Beethoven concertos with his Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra in December 2001, can not be overstated.” Los Angeles Times
“If [LA’s music scene is] world class, thank him.” Los Angeles Times on Marriner in 2007
