Festive 15 launches the 2011-12 season with an array of masterworks from Mozart, Beethoven and Bach, as well as thrilling new works from rising American composers Timothy Andres, Derek Bermel and Gabriel Kahane. Enjoy the wonderful concerts of LACO’s stimulating Orchestral Series and savor moments of personal significance for Jeffrey Kahane, in this his 15th season as music director of LACO. In addition to Orchestral Series concerts at Glendale’s Alex Theatre and UCLA’s Royce Hall, the season features a special one-night-only event on February 25 at Ambassador AuditoriumDiscover Bach’s Magnificat —an in-depth exploration of Bach’s choral masterpiece with Jeffrey Kahane as your musical tour guide.

Additional highlights include guest appearances by Wiek Hijmans, Karina Gauvin, Ralph Kirshbaum, Nigel Armstrong and Gabriel Kahane,, the LACO conducting debut of Andrew Shulman plus a world premiere by Timothy Andres and more!
