Curated by concertmaster Margaret Batjer, this exciting chamber music series on the Westside invites you to take a look at the connections between music and other artistic disciplines.
In the inaugural season, we’ll explore the connections between music and poetry with an introduction by poet Dana Gioia, chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts.
Following LACO’s signature “conversations” style, the artists introduce the pieces from the stage and the 90-minute concerts include an opportunity for relaxed conversation between the musicians and the audience. There is no intermission.
The 3-concert series takes place at the state-of-the-art Broad Stage at the Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center.
“...our Westside friends deserve an equally rich opportunity to explore with us the glorious repertoire of chamber music.” – Music Director Jeffrey Kahane
