Marcella Dover is from Charleston, WV. She graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in business administration in marketing as an honors student. She also completed two minors, one in piano performance and one in advertising.

Marcella’s focus in music and marketing piqued her interest in arts management as a way to stay connected with and support the arts community.

Marcella first interned with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra under the director of development, Kathy Bush. During her senior year at WVU, Marcella worked as a media buyer intern for WVU’s Arts & Entertainment and applied her studies toward advertising and media planning. It was through her contacts in the League of American Orchestras that she learned of the marketing position at LACO and moved out to California in 2007.

Marcella is the middle child between two very tall sisters. She is a huge dog lover and volunteers at the Burbank Animal Shelter. She also loves movies, going to any kind of cultural event and spending time outside. She can’t wait to own a dog!
