executive & artistic assistant
Adam Faruqi was born in Washington D.C. but spent the majority of his childhood in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He returned to the United States in 2009, and after receiving his high school diploma he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a BM in Vocal Performance from USC’s Thornton School of Music. As a student Adam performed with the USC Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, sang with USC’s Reverse Osmosis a cappella group, participated in numerous student opera productions and in 2015 was honored with the USC Thornton Opera Award for his contributions to the program.
Adam received his bachelor’s degree in the spring of 2016 and now enjoys singing with several classical ensembles in the Los Angeles area, including the St. John’s Choir, the Los Angeles Master Chorale and the LA Opera chorus. He has also been doing graphic design freelance for about five years, and as a student he worked as a graphic design assistant at USC’s Opera Department for three years.
Adam loves trains and adventure, and spends much of his free time exploring Los Angeles via its rapidly growing mass transit network.
