Director of Advancement and Leadership Giving
Sarah Singer joined LACO in December 2015 as Director of Advancement and Leadership Giving. She previously served in LACO’s development department from 2011-2013 where she oversaw development communications, coordinated the transition to a new database/ticketing system and executed numerous special events including the annual gala and the à la carte series.
Prior to rejoining LACO, Sarah was focused on increasing alumni giving as Associate Director of Annual and Special Gifts at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. There, Sarah worked closely with alumni on their leadership gifts as well as students pursuing their MBAs on their Anderson Affiliates class gift campaigns. In addition to managing all annual giving communications, Sarah collaborated with multiple student and alumni fundraising committees to promote a culture of philanthropy, contributing to the success of the landmark $300 million Into The Next campaign.
A devoted arts management professional, Sarah has also held positions in marketing and development at the Fox Valley Symphony, the Fox Valley Performing Arts Center and Music of the Baroque, a professional chorus and orchestra specializing in the performance of eighteenth-century music in Chicago. Sarah began studying the violin at age ten, and has had a passion for classical music and music history ever since. She attended Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin, where she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in English literature, and received a professional development certificate in philanthropy and non-profit management from Northwestern University.
Sarah shares her home in the Hollywood Hills with her boyfriend and seven musical instruments.
