Karin Burns happily returns to the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, the company where she began her career in the arts.

After graduating from Pomona College with a BA in Government where she also played the cello, choreographed, danced and served as orchestra manager of the Pomona College Symphony Orchestra, she soon found her way into arts administration. She has served as controller at LA Opera, director of finance and administration at Tulsa Opera, director of finance at the Pasadena Playhouse and director of finance at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle.

Through her 25 years in the arts world, Karin has proudly brought and kept financial stability in different kinds of arts organizations. Karin posses an eclectic taste in music and an adventurous spirit; you are likely to find her at a Wagner performance, as well as a Pearl Jam concert. Los Angeles is her hometown, though she maintains close ties with Seattle where she earned a Certificate in Accounting at the University of Washington.
