Feel Everything. Feel Grateful. Feel Joy.

Dear LACO Friends and Family,

Giving Tuesday is here. It’s a relatively new tradition, one that allows people to feel good about giving back in the midst of this hectic season.

And on this Giving Tuesday, all of us at LACO feel such gratitude to the donors, subscribers and ticket buyers that support Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra every day. And we feel especially grateful to the anonymous friend of LACO who has awarded us a challenge grant. The donor will match all new and increased gifts up to $125,000!

We enter December relishing the fall orchestral concerts recently concluded – Jaime’s second Orchestral series concert and his first Baroque Conversations performance. I hope that you were able to join us for one or both concerts; they were phenomenal, and they highlighted the core of what makes the Orchestra such a treasure for Los Angeles.

Feel overwhelming joy in making and sharing music.

LACO was founded and continues to thrive thanks to some of the greatest musicians on the planet. Fifty years on, our musicians bring their artistry and their tremendous passion to every rehearsal and every performance, renewed by the opportunity to perform the best new and classical music.

The core of LACO’s unique value lies in the talent, generosity, and passion of our brilliant Orchestra members. Before the Baroque Conversations concert we asked our Music Director, Jaime Martín, about his favorite thing in Los Angeles, and here’s what he said:

Feel excitement in the energy and enthusiasm of our audience.

Through the intimacy of Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra concerts, our audiences connect with the music in their hearts and their very bones. LACO’s concerts are always thrilling and sustaining, and this season has continued that tradition. Here’s the most recent review:

“A standing ovation ensued, and as we calmed, Martín graced us with an encore that was so sweet, so delicate, so calming… Bach’s Air on the G String from the second movement of his third Orchestral Suite. The LACO strings fused together as a single body, in perfect harmony and motion. What a rare treat. I’ve rarely experienced such affect. And then into the night we went — glorious! What a way to sail into the holidays. Bravo, LACO!”
