Praised as singing with “tenorial sweetness” and a “voice that never falters”, lyric tenor, Todd Strange is a well rounded performing artist specializing in opera, solo concert work, musical theater, in addition to session singing and professional choral/ensemble work. Mr. Strange is currently a roster member of the Los Angeles Master Chorale, the Los Angeles Opera, and is a soloist in many regional opera companies and symphonies across the United States and abroad. Professional highlights include both leading and supporting roles with The LA Philharmonic, Long Beach Opera, New York City Opera, Arizona Opera, Ohio Light Opera, Utah Festival Opera, Stockton Opera and San Diego Opera. Todd has been featured on the following recordings: As 2nd Foreigner/ Orango by Shostakovich (LA Phil),  Sextus in The Industry/LA Philharmonic’s production of Lou Harrison’s Young Caesar.  In addition, he can be heard performing several lead roles with Ohio Light Opera on Albany Records. Mr. Strange has sung on various film scores including being featured in the Blockbuster, “Sing!” as the operatic voice of the Camel. Todd had the privilege of working with John Williams as a member of the LA Master Chorale for Star Wars/The Last Jedi. Other movies include Star Wars/Rogue One,  Frozen, Minions, and Despicable Me 3, among others.

Notable recent performances include Nostradamus in Trip to the Moon (LA Phil/US Premier),  Candide (Long Beach Opera), Taylor in Fallujah (World Premier) with both Long Beach and  New York City Opera, Tenor soloist for Les Noces (LA Master Chorale), The Nantucket Sailor in Moby Dick (LA Opera), Almaviva in Il Barbiere Di Siviglia (Bakersfield Symphony), Tenor soloist in Philip Glass’ Hydrogen Jukebox (Long Beach Opera), Tenor soloist in Liszt’s Faust Symphony (Jacaranda Music),  Remendado in Carmen (Opera Buffs), Alfredo in La Traviata (Angels Vocal Arts).  Most recently Todd sang the title role of Tito, in Mozart’s La Clemenza Di Tito (Pasadena Pro Musica). Upcoming roles and projects include Almaviva with Orange County Opera, the Peasant in El Gato Montes with Los Angeles Opera starring Placido Domingo, and a featured recital at the Boston Court in Pasadena in the Fall.
