(Los Angeles, CA – November 14, 2023) Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO), led by Music Director Jaime Martín, spotlights acclaimed violinist Christian Tetzlaff, hailed for his “combustible” performances and “striking bravura” (Chicago Classical Review) on Brahms’ towering Violin Concerto in D major on Saturday, December 9, 8 pm, at Glendale’s Alex Theatre, and Sunday, December 10, 2023, 7 pm, at UCLA’s Royce Hall. The program also includes the overture from Rossini’s rollicking comic opera The Italian Girl in Algiers as well as one of Mozart’s final symphonic masterpieces, Symphony No. 39 in E-flat major, a mythic work that has inspired musicians and composers for generations.
