PJ Ochlan of KJAZZ 88.1 The Arts Report took a call from our Silent Film co-chairman Roger L. Mayer to talk about Roger’s love of Buster Keaton, his passion for film preservation and the experience of hearing a new score performed live by a full Orchestra.

LACO’s Silent Film will be held Sunday, May 23 at Royce Hall, and will feature a world premiere score by composer Timothy Brock to Buster Keaton’s classic The Cameraman. Disney’s 1924 film Alice’s Wild West Show is also on the bill, with a score by Alexander Rannie. Tickets are still available online or by calling the LACO box office at 213 622 7001 × 215.
