Since LACO’s 2001/02 season, the Sound Investment community has united music lovers to crowdfund commissions and support composers’ creative processes. This groundbreaking commissioning club takes you on a journey through the composition process, from a new work’s inception to its world premiere. Investors are invited to a series of intimate salons where they can meet the composer, hear excerpts of the score-in-progress, and attend rehearsals.

Participate in new music coming to life. Each year, our Sound Investors commission a new work by an exceptionally gifted composer, which is premiered during our season. In a series of intimate salons and conversations, our Sound Investors and composers engage in conversations about composing music and about the piece being commissioned.
