PARKING

Parking is $1 for four hours with validation at the following parking garages (rates subject to change). The validation kisok is inside the main lobby.

  • Orange Street Parking Garage located at the corner of California & Orange
  • Exchange Parking Garage located on Maryland Ave, south of Wilson
  • Glendale Marketplace Garage located at the corner of Harvard & Maryland

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

  • Glendale Beeline
    The beeline is a bus service that stops in front of the Alex Theatre and connects with the Los Angeles Metro Bus line.
  • Metro
    Metro runs 200 bus lines and four rail lines in Los Angeles County, including the City of Glendale and its surrounding communities.

FAQ

Will Call and Box Office is located inside the forecourt to the right. There are three available windows, for Will Call pick up, Press tickets and community tickets. Day of sales will be available under the marque.

The Alex Theatre will have a concessions booth available during intermission in the courtyard. Coffee and water will be available, as well as light snacks. https://alextheatre.org/visit/concessions  

There is no bar. We recommend visiting many of the various restaurants nearby before or after the show!

During intermission you may congregate either inside the front lobby or outside in the courtyard.  

Wheelchair access and infrared Assistive Listening Devices for the hearing impaired are available upon request. Please request these services at least 24 hours in advance by contacting the Box Office.

The Alex Theatre has ADA Accessible Seating available in Row X of the Orchestra. All other seating areas require a minimum of eight stairs to access. If you require ADA accessible seating, notify the Ticket Agent at the beginning of the transaction or, if purchasing online, select from the ADA Accessible section and indicate the type of seating you require for each ADA Accessible seat.

Parking

Parking for Royce Hall is available in Structure 5, which can be accessed from Royce Dr. off Sunset Blvd. Parking for the event is $14, and we strongly encourage patrons to pre-pay online.

You can also pay at the payment kiosk in the parking garage at the top level.

Parking opens 90 min before curtain.

  5. Parking Structure 5 (STR 5) is the main structure for Royce Hall, Structure 4 is the alternate Structure but does require the use of the main staircase (76 steps).
2. PARK MOBILE APP INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Download app for your Apple or Android device.
  2. Create an account using your email address.
  3. Provide your license plate number and state where your vehicle is registered.
  4. Then setup your method of payment.
  5. Now you’re ready to park, choose the park tab second from the left at the bottom of the screen.
  6. Enter Zone Number: 2552
  7. DP Parking Zone 2500 if parking with a Disabled Placard.
  8. Hit “Choose Duration” and select “Day Rate” (please be aware there is a $0.35 convenience fee).
  9. You’re all set, enjoy the show!

Pay-By-Plate Self-Service Stations
UCLA parking pay stations will require your license plate number and a credit card or exact cash for payment. Should you choose to utilize this option please give yourself a few extra minutes to purchase your parking pass upon arrival. *For Structure 5 the pay station is located on the top level of the structure, level 6.

Pay stations accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express for your convenience. There are no refunds for purchases at campus pay stations.

Pay stations only accept $1, $5, and $10 bills and DO NOT give change.

Parking Structure 5 – $14 Daily Parking Rate
From Sunset Blvd, turn South onto Royce Dr. Continue past the first two intersections (both Royce Dr and Charles E Young Dr N). Parking Structure 5 will be to your right after the 2nd intersection. Signage will be present to direct you. *Please be aware that if you park in Structure 5 when the event zone (2552) is inactive the daily cost for this premium lot is $20. If you would like to visit UCLA during a non-event time, we recommend Lot 4, which has a $14 standard rate.

Parking Structure 4 – $14 Daily Parking Rate
From Sunset Bllvd, enter north campus at Westwood Plaza and proceed straight to the underground parking structure. *Parking in Structure 4 will require that you walk up Janss Steps (87 steps) to get to Royce Hall. Please allow additional time to walk from this structure.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING – Please use the Park Mobile App or purchase a parking pass from the kiosk on level 6 of parking structure 5. Levels 4 does not require the use of stairs. You can also park in Dickson Court using a purchased parking pass or mobile app pass, you must display your DP parking placard. If you purchase your parking pass from Structure 5 you may still park in Dickson court, make sure your DP placard is visible when you park.

Directions to Dickson Court – Sunset to Hilgard, turn West onto Wyton to enter campus, turn left onto Charles E Young Drive East and proceed to Dickson Court. Guest drop off is located at the flagpole in the Dickson Court turnaround. Wheelchair assistance is available. To speak to our House Manager about any assistance please call: 310-267-4465.

3. PAY-BY-PLATE AT THE KIOSK:

The pay-by-plate kiosk is located on level 6 of parking structure 5. Enter your license plate number.

Persons with disabilities

Ride Sharing/Taxi Drop-Off

Ride-share drop off is located at the flagpole in Dickson Court – 10745 Dickson Court, Los Angeles, CA 90095. Some ride-share companies use the 340 Royce Drive address, this address will take you to the back of Royce Hall and often to the lower lot. If you get dropped off here, please head south and up the stairs to the front of Royce Hall.

During intermission you are encouraged to visit the West Lobby for a guest reception both indoors and outdoors on the terrace. 

The Royce Hall onsite Box Office is open 90 minutes prior to performances and closes 30 minutes after the scheduled start time. 

The Royce Bar in the West Lobby offers light fare and beverages for purchase and is open an hour before performances and during intermissions.

Royce Hall has wheelchair seating, aisle-side transfer seats with folding armrests and is equipped with an assistive-listening system. (Headsets available free of charge with an I.D.) If you need extra help to visit any of our venues or plan to be accompanied by a service animal, contact our Box Office prior to the performance. If possible, indicate special needs at the time of purchase.

DIRECTIONS VIA PASADENA SURFACE STREETS 

  • From California Avenue: take Allen Avenue south to The Huntington’s Allen gate. 
  • From Huntington Drive: heading westbound on Huntington Drive, cross the intersection at Sierra Madre Boulevard and immediately turn right at Monterey Road. Continue bearing to the right onto Oxford Road and to the Huntington’s Oxford gate. 

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION 

  • Metro Rail Gold Line: take Metro Rail Gold Line to Allen Avenue Station. From the station, walk 1-1/2 miles south on Allen to The Huntington’s entrance gate, or transfer to Pasadena ARTS bus, which stops at Del Mar & Allen. 
  • Metro Bus Lines: The Huntington is located in a residential area, and the nearest bus stops are approximately one mile away. Visit the Metro website for more information. 
  • ARTS Bus: Visit the Pasadena Area Rapid Transit System (ARTS) website for schedules and stops. 

FAQ

During intermission patrons are able to stay in the lobby or gather outside underneath the rotunda. Please do not head into the gardens.

Self-parking is available in our underground garage (450 N. Crescent Drive) with entrances from Crescent Drive and South Santa Monica Boulevard (see map at bottom of page). The Wallis staff members are available to assist you every step of the way from the moment you arrive to helping you find your seats.

*Regular self-parking rates are in effect for any vehicles entering the parking garage before 6:00pm for evening performances and before 1:00pm for matinee performances.

METRO PURPLE LINE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
