ALBERT SCHNELZER A Freak in Burbank (West Coast premiere)
SIBELIUS Six Humoresques for Violin and Orchestra, Opp. 87 & 89
BEETHOVEN Symphony No. 3 in E-flat major, Op. 55, “Eroica”

Trick or treat? For Halloween, accomplished Danish conductor Thomas Dausgaard, offers Schnelzer’s A Freak in Burbank, a humorous Haydnesque tribute to film director Tim Burton. The “consistently marvelous” Norwegian virtuoso Henning Kraggerud performs lively works that Sibelius himself favored. And, to top it all, there’s Beethoven’s “Eroica.” Enjoy!

pre-concert program

Concert Preludes are fun, informative and free to all ticket holders.

Join us one hour before each concert in the theatre. Some Preludes feature LIVE performances of short chamber works. All provide interesting insights into the music and the artists.
