treasures in bologna

February 28, 2008

This is Marika. Today I went to Bologna, Italy on the train. I went with Josefina, Sarah, Joel, Wade, Tereza, Cheryl, Jenny and my mom and dad. We all went to a really great chocolate shop. Josefina bought me a chocolate egg. They made the chocolate right there at the shop. We also went down a little street and it had a meat market, a fruit and vegetable market. They had a fish market with some fish that were still alive. We also saw a huge church that was called St. Peter’s, and it was going to be bigger than St. Peter’s in Rome, but the pope made them stop building it so it would not be as big as the church in Rome. It is still unfinished. I’ll write tomorrow. Sometimes the internet doesn’t work here. Bye bye for now.

I hope you are having a fun time. I miss you. Take lots of pictures. Bye..

Marika,I'm really enjoying your e-mails. I'm printing them out and I read them to your other grandmother. Miss you, but so glad you are having fun.
Love you, Nana
