Ian A. Smith

His experience as an audio engineer and producer includes work on various live performances as a mixer and technician, and recording projects as recording and mixing engineer in genres ranging from classical to pop to Latin jazz. Ian also works as a composer and arranger, with experience in genres including electronica, modern orchestra, jazz, and new age. His composition and arrangement experience includes commissioned works for artist albums and various media, including TV and video games.

In recent years, he has become an integral part of the live sound team at CSUN’s Soraya performance hall, mixing front-of-house and monitors for various artists. Since 2015, he has been the Technical Director of Bridge to Everywhere, a contemporary classical chamber ensemble based in Los Angeles.
