Mark Gutierrez is an upright/electric bassist, composer, producer, and songwriter from Los Angeles, CA. He has trained in classical performance with LA Philharmonic’s Principal Bassist, Chris Hanulik, and is the founder of the Jazz group, Jungle Rhythm. Mark has performed with the American Youth Symphony, Debut Orchestra, UCLA Philharmonia, the 2015 Las Vegas production of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddess, LA-based choreographer, Sheetal Gandhi, and numerous other bands ranging in genre from Folk, to Latin, to Hip-hop. In his free time, Mark enjoys hiking, visiting the beach, practicing yoga, and dancing salsa. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Bass Performance from UCLA.

LA Orchestra Fellowship

The LA Orchestra Fellowship is a two-year orchestra intensive for musicians on violin, viola, and cello.

Fellows are mentored in chamber and orchestral performance and gain invaluable experience while training and playing alongside Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra musicians, faculty at USC Thornton and mentor members of the Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles.
