Originally from England’s green (and often soggy) south west, I studied music at Manchester University before heading to London to gain a Masters in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy. From there I worked for The Sixteen (an 18 voice choir and period instrument orchestra) where I managed the marketing for a 30 date tour around British cathedrals, coordinated the education program, was music librarian, patrons administrator, IT troubleshooter and much more besides. I most recently worked at the London Philharmonic Orchestra where I wore just the one hat – that of marketing manager, responsible for marketing 37 concerts each season at the Royal Festival Hall.
I followed my heart to California a year ago and have read lots of books, seen all of Friday Night Lights, taken up the guitar and run a half marathon. I’m delighted that LACO has agreed to let me help out in its busy and creative marketing department and thank them in advance for correcting the numerous British English spellings in my future blog posts!
