Celebrate the culminating season of music director Jeffrey Kahane’s illustrious 20-year tenure with LACO’s newly expanded eight-concert series.

From the exquisite precision of Bach and Mozart to the grand sweep of Beethoven 9 and Schubert’s Great C-major Symphony, the 2016-17 season is a celebration of LACO’s trademark versatility, interpretive magic and congeniality.

Saturday concerts at 8 pm at the Alex Theatre in Glendale; Sunday concerts at 7 pm at UCLA’s Royce Hall.

Explore the genesis of orchestral music in downtown Los Angeles. In signature LACO style, the artists introduce the music from the stage and invite your questions to conclude the evening. Performed without intermission. Thursday concerts are at 7:30 pm at Zipper Concert Hall.

Join us for LACO’s innovative chamber music series that explores the connections between music and other disciplines: the 2017 series explores Music: The Mirror of Time. The intimate, innovative three-concert chamber music series, curated by Margaret Batjer, showcases the virtuoso talent of LACO musicians and unveils the myriad ways music influences society and our lives. Thursday concerts are at the Moss Theater.

Curated by Jeffrey Kahane in his 20th and final season as LACO music director.

Inspired by the lives of courageous ‎émigr‎és and activists Rabbi Joachim Prinz and composer

Kurt Weill, and American Baptist minister and activist Martin Luther King, Jr., who all championed civil rights in America and resisted injustice everywhere.

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra welcomes a circle of partners as we come together in this inspiring project to encourage thinking and talking about inclusion, diversity and living in harmony in LA and worldwide.

student/senior discount for orchestral concerts

Section C tickets for Orchestral Series concerts at the Alex Theatre and Royce Hall available to seniors 65 and older and college students at a discount. One ticket per valid student ID.

The All Access Pass is available to college students with a valid student ID. For just $30, attend as many as you wish of the 2015-16 Orchestral Series and Westside Connections concerts.

Rush Tickets available to college students at $12 at the box office from one hour prior to start time. One ticket per valid student ID; subject to availability at the discretion of the box office.

Tickets may be purchased online 24 hours a day, until four hours prior to the starting time of each concert. After those times, please call the LACO box office, or buy tickets at the venue.

The LACO box office is also open on Orchestral Series weekends, from noon to 4 pm on Saturday, and noon to 3 pm on Sunday. It is closed public holidays and Mondays following Orchestral Series concerts.

Theatre Sales at the venue box office begin on the day of the concert:

  • at the Alex Theatre at noon
  • at Royce Hall at 5:30 pm
  • at Zipper Concert Hall at 6:30 pm
  • at Moss Theater at 6:30 pm
