LACO makes great music personal. You can help make great music eternal. A planned gift, such as a will bequest or charitable gift annuity, is a great way to make a lasting contribution to the chamber orchestra.
There are many gift planning techniques that offer financial benefits to both the donor and LACO. Whether you are interested in reducing capital gains or estate taxes, or in receiving a fixed payment for life, consider making a planned gift to the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra.
LACO legacy spotlight: bruce and carol ross
Bruce and I first became LACO subscribers some 25 years ago. From the beginning, we appreciated the artistry of the musicians and the quality of the programming. We have watched with delight as, under the leadership of Jeffrey Kahane, the orchestra has presented outstanding guest artists and added the wonderful “Conversations” series downtown. LACO continues to have outstanding outreach programs in the schools and through recordings and tours, has shared its music with a wider audience. But most important to us is the regular season and our wonderful orchestra musicians, who year after year demonstrate their incredible talent, blending into one of the truly finest chamber orchestras in the world.
During my years as President and Chairman of the Board, I made it one of my missions to encourage folks to remember LACO in their wills. Bruce and I have been contributors for many years, and we don’t want LACO to lose our support when we are gone. When you love an organization as much as Bruce and I love LACO, you want it to thrive. So for that reason, we have included LACO in our wills and thereby joined the Legacy Society.
We know that our single gift will not make or break the orchestra. However, we hope it will encourage other people to join as well, and that our combined gifts will help ensure that our world-class Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra will be playing for our grandchildren and the generations to come. – Carol Ross
