Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra is excited to announce a new era for Meet the Music in collaboration with our Artistic Advisor and composer, Derrick Skye.

Presented free-of-charge to public elementary students in grades four through six across Los Angeles county, Meet the Music fosters listening skills, encourages collaborative involvement and sparks creative innovation through a hybrid digital and/or in-person curriculum and Zoom classroom visits from LACO’s Composer Teaching Artist Fellows. This enriching music program culminates in an interactive, discussion-based live concert featuring our own musicians and artists.**

Through this redesigned educational outlook, we aim to further specialize MTM in order to better meet the ever-evolving needs of our students in times of COVID-19 and beyond. We are excited to have you and your students join us for this reinvigorated season of artistic education!

**All live events are subject to change. LACO will follow LA County Health and Safety Guidelines to best navigate the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. In light of a live concert cancellation, LACO will provide a digital Meet the Music concert in Spring 2022.

Participation in this part of the program is optional.
