The dialogue of time unfurls in this resplendent program of harmonious exchange, bridging generations. Music Director Jaime Martín illuminates voices of exquisite correspondence, opening with Juhi Bansal’s orchestral missive celebrating 25 years of Sound Investment. Featuring violin soloist Anne Akiko Meyers, Eric Whitacre offers a meditation on the resilience of Angelenos in the face of the historic 2025 wildfires in the West Coast premiere of THE PACIFIC HAS NO MEMORY. The raw expressivity of Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony and the irresistible sparkle of Prokofiev’s “Classical” symphony conclude the program. Truly, a musical correspondence for the ages.
TEMPORAL ECHOES: MARTÍN + BANSAL + SHOSTAKOVICH is made possible, in part, with the generous support from Dr. Diane Henderson. Additional support is provided by Clare Baren + David Dwiggins.
