Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra presents celebrated clarinetist Anthony McGill, making his LACO debut, in a Baltic-influenced program led by guest conductor Thomas Dausgaard, Music Director Designate of the Seattle Symphony.
McGill, Principal Clarinet of the New York Philharmonic, performs Nielsen’s Clarinet Concerto, and the concert also features Sibelius’ Symphony No. 3, Arvo Pärt’s Silouan’s Song and Grieg’s Two Norwegian Airs.
McGill, who is the Orchestra’s 2018-19 Shaheen and Anil Nanji Guest Artist-in-Residence, has been recognized as one of the classical music world’s finest solo, chamber and orchestral musicians and has recorded Nielsen’s work with the New York Philharmonic.
